چکیده
The use of lightweight aggregates in construction materials is a good solution for increasing the contribution to sustainability civil engineering works, such as maritime ones. In this regard, possibility using cork granulates and expanded clay current research topic. combination eco-friendly cements with could provide solutions developing new building materials. work, it has been studied mortars prepared sustainable natural clay. These incorporated slag, limestone fly ash. Reference only sand aggregate were also made. total porosity pore size distributions obtained. non-steady-state chloride migration coefficient compressive flexural strengths determined. tests performed at 28 days 1 year. differences between series not high, depending on binder. Natural showed similar or slightly higher coefficients than reference This adequate resistance low mechanical observed recommend possible non-structural cement-based works exposed environments.

متن کاملImpact of Different Binders on the Roughness, Adhesion Strength, and Other Properties of Mortars with Expanded Cork
The aim of the research that is presented in this paper was to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of heat-insulating mortars with expanded cork aggregates and different binders. In this work, the measurements of surface roughness and adhesion strength, supported by determination of basic mechanical and physical parameters, such as density, bulk density, open porosity, total porosit...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Composite Mortars Using Flurogypsum and PVC Particles
The present work describes the viability of a mortar binder based on two industrial by-products: poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) particles from scrap and anhydrite (CaSO4) from fluorgypsum. Mortar composites were made incorporating different amounts of PVC particles and cured at constant room temperature during various periods of time. From X-ray diffraction, it was possible to follow the hydration ...
